All this week, people from Southern Sudan have been casting their vote in a referendum to decide if they should become their own nation. Twenty-year-old Nyuol Tong was born in Sudan. He spent much of his childhood surrounded by civil war and living in refugee camps, often writing poetry to express his hopes and desires for his country. He is now a student at Duke University, and will be traveling to Alexandria, Virginia on Friday to vote.Listen here
