Virtual Choir Project // Eric Whitacre's "Lux Aurumque"

This is just cool. Eric Whitacre is a contemporary composer and conductor whose choral pieces feature tight, crunchy harmonies that shouldn't work but do. A few pieces of interest include Three Songs of Faith, a series of compositions based on E. E. Cummings's poetry. Below is a video of an innovative project Whitacre has put together, the Virtual Choir Project. Singers all over the world recorded themselves singing different parts of "Lux Aurumque" and uploaded videos to YouTube. The videos were then compiled together to create what you see below--a virtual choir. Enjoy. -- Sarah
